Writers beware: Em dashes are overused and misunderstood

When I saw this article, I was eager to write about it as a PR connection. I am completely guilty of using the em dash. It is one of my favorite pieces of punctuation—well, that and the ellipsis (…). In this article, Michael Sebastian gives not only the correct usage of the em dash but also a bit of history behind it.
